Fitness Forks (“we”, “us”, “our”) operates the website fitnessforks.com (the “Site”). This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. We wrote it to comply with the California Online Privacy Protection Act (CalOPPA), the California Consumer Privacy Act as amended by the CPRA, and general United States privacy expectations.
By using the Site you agree to the practices described here. If you do not agree, please stop using the Site.
1. Information we collect
Information you give us. If you leave a comment, subscribe, or email us, we may receive your name, email address, and the contents of your message. We do not ask for more than the task requires.
Information collected automatically. When you visit, our servers and analytics tools record your IP address, browser type and version, device type, operating system, referring page, the pages you view, timestamps, and general location derived from your IP address. None of this identifies you personally.
Cookies and similar technologies. We use cookies, pixels, and local storage to run the Site, remember your consent choice, measure traffic, and — only if you have allowed it — serve and measure advertising.
2. Cookies we use
| Type | Purpose | Provider |
|---|---|---|
| Essential | Login, security, your cookie consent choice. Always on. | Fitness Forks |
| Analytics | Counting visits and sessions so we know which articles are useful. | Google Analytics |
| Advertising | Measuring ad performance and, where permitted, showing personalised ads. | Google AdSense / DoubleClick |
You can withdraw or change consent at any time from the cookie button in the corner of the page. Blocking cookies in your browser also disables the optional categories, though essential cookies are needed for the Site to work.
3. Google advertising and analytics
We use Google Analytics to understand how the Site is used, and Google AdSense or a comparable network to display advertising. These are third-party vendors, and they set their own cookies.
Google’s use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads based on your visit to this and other sites. You may opt out of personalised advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings at google.com/settings/ads, or opt out of some third-party cookies at aboutads.info/choices and youronlinechoices.eu. Analytics can be disabled with Google’s opt-out browser add-on.
We do not control third-party cookies, and this policy does not cover them. Please review the privacy policies of those providers.
4. How we use information
- To operate, secure, and maintain the Site
- To answer your messages and moderate comments
- To understand aggregate traffic and improve our content
- To detect and prevent abuse, spam, and fraud
- To comply with legal obligations
- We do not sell your personal information for money, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioural advertising except with your consent.
5. Your privacy rights
California residents (CCPA/CPRA)
If you live in California you have the right to know what personal information we collect and how it is used, to request access to the specific pieces we hold, to correct inaccurate information, to request deletion, to opt out of the sale or sharing of your personal information, and to use us without discrimination for exercising any of these rights.
We do not sell personal information as defined by the CCPA. Because advertising cookies can constitute “sharing” for cross-context behavioural advertising, you can opt out by rejecting advertising cookies in the consent banner, or through the links in section 3.
To exercise any of these rights, email contact@fitnessforks.com with the subject line “Privacy Request”. We will verify your request and respond within 45 days, as the law requires, extending once by a further 45 days where necessary.
Residents of other US states
If your state provides privacy rights — for example Virginia, Colorado, Connecticut, or Utah — the same rights described above are available to you. Email us and we will process the request under the applicable law.
European and other international visitors
If you visit from the EU/EEA or the UK, our lawful bases for processing are your consent (for analytics and advertising cookies), our legitimate interests (for security and Site operation), and legal obligation. You have rights of access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability, and objection, and you may lodge a complaint with your local supervisory authority.
6. Data retention and security
Comment and contact data is kept only as long as needed to run the Site and respond to you. Analytics data is retained for the period configured in Google Analytics. We use reasonable administrative and technical measures to protect information, but no method of transmission over the internet is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
7. Children’s privacy
The Site is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, contact us and we will delete it. Because the Site is aimed at adults who train, parents should supervise use by minors.
8. Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information
You can exercise your opt-out at any time by clicking the cookie settings button and rejecting analytics and advertising cookies, or by emailing contact@fitnessforks.com.
9. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as our practices or the law change. The “last updated” date at the top always reflects the most recent revision, and material changes will be announced on the Site.
10. Contact us

This policy applies to fitnessforks.com only and does not cover third-party websites we link to.
